Friday, November 18, 2011 Sgt Hale arrested Frank Barrios of 2408 Birch Avenue, Whiting, IN, on a warrant out of East Chicago, IN, for Resisting Law Enforcement. He was transported to the WPD pending pick-up from East Chicago PD. Arrest - Theft (11-17-11) Friday, November 18, 2011 Sgt Hale arrested Patricia Palmerin of 2058 Indianapolis Blvd., Whiting, IN, out of Lake County for Theft. She was transported to the WPD pending transport to the Lake County Jail. Arrest - OWI and Failure to Pay (11-17-11) Friday, November 18, 2011 Ofc. Trinidad arrested Caroline Vasquez of 1539 - 121st Street on a warrant out of Lake County for OWI and Failure to Pay. She was transported to the WPD pending transport to the Lake County Jail. Arrest - Burglary (11-17-11) Friday, November 18, 2011 Sgt Allard arrested Anthony Bucsko of 1811 New York Avenue on a warrant out of Lake County for Burglary. He was transported to the WPD pending transport to the Lake County Jail. Suspicious Subject (11-17-11) Friday, November 18, 2011 WPD was detailed to the area of the 1300 block of 119th Street in reference to a suspicious male black subject wearing a black hooded jacket and blue jeans that walked into a building. Officers checked the area with negative results. Arrest - Possession of a Stolen Vehcile (11-16-11) Thursday, November 17, 2011 Sgt Hale and Of c Trinidad arrested Phillip M Hunter of 4843 Linden Avenue, Hammond, IN, in White Castle parking lot for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle. He was transported to the Whiting PD pending transport to the Lake County Jail. Theft (11-16-11) Thursday, November 17, 2011 A resident in the 1400 block of 119th Street reported that persons unknown took the title for her car from her mailbox. Vehicle Vandalism (11-15-11) Thursday, November 17, 2011 A resident in the 1700 block of Atchison Avenue reported that an unknown subject broke into his 2008 Dodge Charger and took his stereo and an extended mirror. Arrest - FTA (11-14-11) Thursday, November 17, 2011 Det. Sgt Stelow arrested Rebecca Aguilera of 3930 Marshall Street, Gary, IN on a Warrant out of Whiting City Court for F.T.A. She was placed in lock up pending transport to Whiting City Court. Graffiti (11-12-11) Thursday, November 17, 2011 A City Court employee reported that persons unknown had graffiti his over head garage door. Problem with Home Boiler System (11-11-11) Thursday, November 17, 2011 Whiting Fire Department was detailed to the 1600 block of LaPorte Avenue in reference to a possible problem with the home boiler system. Fire Chief Danielides reported that the boiler was making a hissing sound before the WFD arrived on the scene. WFD reported no fire and to have the tenant call the landlord about the problem. Apartment Theft (11-10-11) Thursday, November 17, 2011 A resident in the 1300 block of 121st Street reported that her cable box had been stolen from her apartment along with a radio. Vehicle Vandalism (11-10-11) Thursday, November 17, 2011 A resident in the 1600 block of 121st Street reported that her car had just been egged by 4 subjects possibly Hispanic in a new model Fork truck with an extended cab. The subjects headed East on 119th Street. Theft (11-10-11) Thursday, November 17, 2011 A resident in the 1500 block of 121st Street reported that her care taker over the last couple of weeks has stolen approx. 5 pieces of gold jewelry. Possible Break In (11-9-11) Thursday, November 17, 2011 Cpl Gajewski requested Hammond PD in the 2000 block of Lincoln Avenue in reference to a possible break in. Hammond PD advised and handled. Theft from Bank Account (11-9-11) Thursday, November 17, 2011 A resident in the 1900 block of Clark Street reported the theft of $324.89 from his Chase Bank account from Direct TV. The theft took place on September 19, 2011. Arrest - Criminal Mischief and Intimidation (11-8-11) Thursday, November 17, 2011 Whiting PD was detailed to the BP Glasshouse in Indianapolis Blvd. BP Security reported a male subject breaking our car windows. Lt Puhek and Ofc. Trinidad arrested Anton Goff of 240 Taft Street, Gary, IN for Criminal Mischief and Intimidation. The suspect shattered the window out of a vehicle of the person that had fired him from his job at BP. He was transported to the Whiting PD and placed in lock up. Vandalism (11-8-11) Thursday, November 17, 2011 The owner of Game Time II reported that persons unknown threw a brick through the front window of the bar. Arrest Failure to Appear (11-7-11) Thursday, November 17, 2011 Det. Sgt Greer arrested Emmanuel L Ferguson of 2260 Indianapolis Blvd., Whiting, IN on a Warrant for F.T.A. out of Hobart City Court. He was placed in lock up pending transport to the Hobart jail. Arrest Failure to Respond to a Summons (11-7-11) Thursday, November 17, 2011 Det. Sgt Stelow arrested Richard Rodriquez of 2009 Thornton Lansing Rd, Lansing, IL on a Warrant out of Whiting City Court for failure to Respond to a Summons. He was placed in lock up pending bond. Hammond PD Request Assistance (11-5-11) Thursday, November 17, 2011 Hammond PD request assistance in the 2100 block of Superior Avenue. Officers reported that Hammond PD handled. Vehicle Vandalism (11-5-11) Thursday, November 17, 2011 A resident from Schererville, IN reported that her vehicle had the driver's side tires slashed while she was at Amvets. The complainant suspects a male companion is involved in the damage. Arrest Possession of Marijuana (11-3-11) Wednesday, November 16, 2011 Sgt Hale and Ofc. Trinidad arrested Laura L Fisher of 1834 Pennsylvania Avenue, Whiting, IN, in the 2000 block of Indianapolis Blvd. for Possession of Marijuana. She was transported to the Whiting PD and her 2001 Mercury was towed. Hammond PD Request Assistance (11-2-11) Wednesday, November 16, 2011 Hammond PD request assistance in the 1500 block of Warwick Avenue. Hammond dispatch reported that there was an officer at the scene with a domestic and they could not get in touch with him by radio. Officers advised all OK with the officer. Vandalism (11-2-11) Wednesday, November 16, 2011 A resident in the 1800 block of Sheridan Avenue reported that persons unknown threw a garbage bin over the fence and it landed in the pool. Vandalism (10-31-11) Wednesday, November 16, 2011 A resident in the 1400 block of 121st Street requested extra patrols in the area of her home due to three pumpkins being thrown at her home. The complainant reported that this is not the first time that her home has been targeted. Arrest - Invasion of Privacy (10-31-11) Wednesday, November 16, 2011 Detective Sergeant Stelow arrested Arthur S Doll of 1034 Reese Avenue in the area of 118th Street and Sheridan Avenue on a warrant out of Whiting City Court for Invasion of Privacy. The suspect was transported to the WPD and placed in lock up. Vandalism (10-30-11) Wednesday, November 16, 2011 A resident in the 1500 block of 121st Street reported that his 2002 Gold Volvo was spray painted along the passenger side and his tires were also slashed. Officers reported that the complainants girlfriend is responsible for the damage. Vandalism (10-29-11) Wednesday, November 16, 2011 All units were detailed to the area of the 1200 block of W Fred Street reported a subject spray painting his neighbor's garage door. Officers reported that the subject fled the area 10 minutes before the complainant called the WPD. Officers are looking for a W/M stock build wearing glasses and is on a cream colored scooter. |
