Wednesday, September 17, 2008 On September 16, the owner of Omni Auto Sales, 2111 Indianapolis Blvd., reported that person unknown slashed the tires of two cars in his lot. Man with Warrant Arrested Wednesday, September 17, 2008 On September 16, two motor vehicles were stuck on a railroad track near Schrage and Indianapolis Blvd. On of these cars had a broken axle and a flat tire. The owner of one of these cars, Randall D. Johnson of 1313 Mofiat Lane, Elkhart, was identified during a routine computer check as having an outstanding warrant for Criminal Mischief. Officers arrested Johnson and transported him to WPD pending transport to Lake County Jail and eventual extradition to Elkhart, IN. Smoke at Globe Wednesday, September 17, 2008 On September 16, Officer Gajewski reported smoke coming from the old Globe building. The Fire Department was detailed to the scene and extinguished a fire. Car Vandalized Wednesday, September 17, 2008 On September 15, a resident of the 2800 block of Schrage reported that their 2006 Ford had been vandalized, with the driver's side window having been broken and the rear left tire having been slashed. |
