Detectives and Officers arrested Eric L. Pulley, age 22, of 2249 Indianapolis Boulevard, Hammond, at his residence for Contributing to the Deliquency of a Minor (Class C Felony) and Strong Arm Rape (Class B Felony). Detective Sgt. Don Greer was assigned to investigate the incident that had taken place in the 1500 block of 121st Street. Eric Pulley was booked into the Whiting Police Department pending transport to the Lake County Jail.

Burglaries at Whiting Park--17 September 2007

Detectives investigated burglaries that had taken place at the Whiting Park Hothouse and Concession Stand. Several tools and a Cushman truck were stolen.

Officers and Detectives working on a tip located stolen items at a residence in Hammond. Detectives took in two juveniles and their parents for questioning. The juveniles admitted to the burglaries and to the burning of the Cushman truck alongside the railroad tracks near 117th Street. The juveniles also admitted to an additional burglary committed at the Whiting High School Football Field.

Detectives are charging the juveniles  in Lake County Juvenile Court with three counts of Burglary and one count of Arson.




Little Ceaser's Theft--September 9

Manager of Little Ceaser's pizza reports that a white male subject with several tattoos and a black male subject in a white T-shirt with a symbol on the front took a donation jar from the counter that contained money. When asked by the manager what they were doing, one of the suspects displayed a gun and they both fled the area
