Monday, April 21, 2008 On Sunday, April 20, at 11:05 a.m., a resident of the 2400 block of Schrage reported that the passenger side window of their car was broken and that a CD player was taken from the car. Car Broken Into Monday, April 21, 2008 On Friday, April 18, at 4:10 p.m., a resident of the 1400 block of John Street reported that her vehicle was broken into and her stereo and speakers were stolen. Men Arrested--Gun Found Monday, April 21, 2008 On Friday, April 18, at 3:25 p.m., during a routine traffic stop in the 2500 block of Indianapolis Blvd., Cpl. Allard arrested Darwin G. Price, age 26, of 1630 174th Street, Hammond. Price was arrested for Driving While Suspended. Philip White of Whiting, a passenger in the car, was arrested on a Lake Co. warrant for Failure to Identify and a Hammond warrant for Driving While Suspended. While searching the car, officers located a 12 gauge pump shotgun with the serial number filed off. The gun was turned over to the Detective Bureau for further investigation. Car Damaged Monday, April 21, 2008 On Friday, April 18, at 8:20 a.m., a resident of the 1500 block of Fred Street reported that the rear vent window of his vehicle was broken out. Nothing was reported as missing. Car Broken Into Monday, April 21, 2008 On Friday, April 18, at 6:36 a.m., officers investigated an incident on the 1500 block of Steiber Street. Residents reported that unknown persons broke out the rear window of a car to gain entry. A DVD player, iPod & cell phone were stolen from the vehicle. |
