Monday, May 21, 2007 Detectives investigation a reported rape that has occurred in an apartment on Clark Street. Detectives charged Jesus Orijel, age 34, of 1923 Clark Street with Criminal Confinement and Sexual Battery, both Class D felony's after he forced a women into his apartment and attempted to rape her. He was transported to the Lake County Jail pending bond. Counterfeit Bill Monday, May 21, 2007 Officers arrested Fredderick T. Morris, age 20, of 6933 S Washinaw, Chicago, IL. Mr. Morris was at Chrislove trying to purchase merchandise with counterfeit $100 dollar bill. Officers noticed that the $100 dollar bill was actually a $5 dollar bill that had been bleached out and turned into a $100 dollar bill. Mr. Morris was transported to the Whiting Police Department and turned over to detectives who then worked with Secret Service Agents. |
