Tuesday, September 27, 2011 Hammond PD request assistance at the Refinery Bar in reference to an alarm. Officers reported that Hammond PD handled. Arrest - Theft (9-13-11) Tuesday, September 27, 2011 Sgt Greer arrested Roberto Jasso, Jr. 0f 1504 Fred Street, Whiting, IN on a warrant out of Whiting City Court for Criminal Conversion of a theft where he was caught on video stealing tapes from Walgreens. He was transported to the Whiting PD pending bond. Vehicle Theft (9-13-11) Tuesday, September 27, 2011 Whiting PD was detailed to the BP lot 42 in reference to a motorcycle being stolen. Officers spoke with the employee from Valparaiso who reported that the motorcycle, a 2007 Yamaha dirt bike, was stolen out of the back of his pick-up that was parked in the lot. The motorcycle was entered into the computer and BP Security will check the security tapes from the lot. Arrest (9-13-11) Tuesday, September 27, 2011 Whiting PD was detailed to the Deals Store in reference to a male black subject with a back pack that was outside the store pan handling. Sgt Butler arrested Ray D Wilson of 1011 Colfax, Gary, IN on a warrant out of Hammond City Court. A warrant was confirmed by Hammond PD and the will pick him up at our PD. Hammond PD Request Assistance (9-13-11) Tuesday, September 27, 2011 Hammond PD request assistance in the 1500 block of Indianapolis Blvd. Officers reported an alarm coming from the building. Officers reported that Hammond PD handled. Arrest - Burglary (9-12-11) Tuesday, September 27, 2011 Sgt Greer arrested James W Rickman of 1432 - 119th Street and Central Avenue on a warrant out of Lake County for Attempted Burglary a Class C Felony. He was transported to the Whiting PD and placed in lock-up pending transport to the Lake County Jail. Attempted Vehicle Break In (9-11-11) Tuesday, September 27, 2011 A resident in the 2000 block of New York Avenue reported that persons unknown attempted to gain entry to his friends Chevy Blazer. No entry was gained and the complainant requested officers to make checks during the night. Possible Vehicle Break In (9-11-11) Tuesday, September 27, 2011 A resident in the 2500 block of Schrage Avenue reported that his car was broken into a couple of weeks ago and he heard a noise outside his home. The complainant advised that when he looked outside he seen a dark colored 4 door vehicle possibly a Saturn pull along side of his vehicle and then it took off. Officers checked the area with negative results and there was no damage to his car. |
