The complainant reported that his mother's purse was snatched by an unknown subject who ran off in an unknown direction. Officers requested Hammond Police at the scene due to the purse snatching took place in the area of Lincoln Avenue and Superior Avenue in the area of 120th Street. Vehicle Theft (12-18-10) Wednesday, December 29, 2010 A resident in the 1600 block of Central Avenue reported that her vehicle was stolen. Officers reported that the complainant's ex-boyfriend took the car without her permission. The vehicle was entered into the computer. Arrest (12-17-10) Wednesday, December 29, 2010 Hammond Police request an officer at 129th Street and Calumet Avenue. Sgt Greer reported that he arrested Lawrence Hacker of 4040 Cameron Avenue, Hammond, IN on a Warrant out of Whiting City Court.
