Wednesday, February 1, 2012 Whiting Fire Department was detailed to the 1800 block of Pennsylvania in reference to a gas order in the home. WFD reported a leak in the hot water heater. The gas was shut off to the heater and the owner will contact a company to repair it. Lake County Sheriff Monitoring Request Assistance (1-28-12) Wednesday, February 1, 2012 Lake County Sheriff Monitoring detail requested assistance in the 1800 block of New York Avenue in reference to a subject who barricaded himself in the house. Officers located Anthony Bucsko of 1811 New York Avenue hiding in the garage. He was taken into custody by the Lake County Sheriff's Department. Arrest - Failure to Respond to a Summons (1-28-12) Wednesday, February 1, 2012 Sgt Cooper arrested Marissa S Harper of 233 Gostlin Street, Hammond, IN on a warrant out of Whiting City Court for Failure to Respond to a Summons. She was placed in lock up pending bond. Theft of Copper Pipe (1-27-12) Wednesday, February 1, 2012 The owner of Weiner Foods reported that persons unknown stole copper pipe that was going to be installed on the roof of the business. |
