Tuesday, April 6, 2010 Whiting Fire Department was detailed to the 1400 block of Fischrupp Avenue to a report of a gas grill that caught fire. It also caught the side of the house on fire. Whiting Police Assist Hammond (4-4-10) Tuesday, April 6, 2010 Whiting Police Department was detailed to assist Hammond Police at the BP gas station at 850 Indianapolis Blvd. Officers reported three suspicious vehicles in the area. Officers reported that Hammond Police handled. Brush Fire (4-3-10) Tuesday, April 6, 2010 Whiting Fire Department was detailed to the 117th Street entrance to Whiting Park. A report of a brush fire. Vandalism (4-2-10) Tuesday, April 6, 2010 Officers were detailed to the 1500 block of Center Street. Officers reported that the construction company reported that a garage door was kicked in. Nothing was taken. Vehicle Vandalism (4-1-10) Tuesday, April 6, 2010 Officers were detailed to the BP lot 10. Officers reported that a 2007 Dodge had the driver's window broken out and the center counsel ransacked. Burglary (4-1-10) Tuesday, April 6, 2010 All officers and detectives were detailed to a burglary that had taken place at the New Christian Church in the 1800 block of Central Avenue. Officers reported that a flat screen TV along with a safe containing misc documents and a dooly were taken. Officers located a note that was left at the scene saying that God would forgive him and because he was hungry. Officers talked to a witness in the area who seen a subject dressed in all black around 4 AM but did not call the police on this subject. He was observed pushing the dolly with the safe down the alley. |
