Thursday, December 9, 2010 A resident in the 1500 block of Fred Street reported that persons unknown entered his garage that does not lock and stole an air compressor and two drills and some clothing. Purse Stolen (11-20-10) Thursday, December 9, 2010 A resident in the 2500 block of Schrage Avenue reported that she left her purse in her unlocked car and persons unknown during the evening hours entered her car and took her purse. Vandalism (11-20-10) Thursday, December 9, 2010 Whiting Police Department was detailed to the 1700 block of Standard Avenue. A resident in the area reported that kids were throwing eggs at a home and the kids there. Officers located the 4 juveniles in the area and transported them to the Whiting Police Department. One juvenile from Whiting was released to his parents and the other three from East Chicago were released to their parents. Attempt Garage Break In (11-20-10) Thursday, December 9, 2010 Officers were detailed to the 1400 block of Fischrupp Avenue to a residents report of an attempt to gain entry to her garage. Officers reported that there were marks made by possibly a screwdriver but no entry was gained. Little Ciesars Robbery (11-19-10) Thursday, December 9, 2010 All units were detailed to a robbery at Little Ciesars Pizza. Officers reported that a male subject came in and placed a note on the counter requesting money. No weapon was seen but the suspect stated that he had one. Suspect left the area with approx. 70 USC. Arrest (11-19-10) Thursday, December 9, 2010 Cpl Stelow arrested Kevin Kihistrom of 620 Willard, Michigan City, IN on a warrant out of Whiting City Court while at the LaPorte County Jail. He was transported to the Whiting Police Department and placed in lock up. Home Break In (11-19-10) Thursday, December 9, 2010 Hammond Police notified WPD of two male blacks entering a home in the 1900 block of Lincoln Avenue. Hammond Police handled. |
