Tuesday, January 11, 2011 Probation Officers from Whiting City Court request officers for a subject that showed up for court intoxicated. Officers were detailed and reported that the subject had left the court before officers arrived. Officers checked the surrounding area with negative results. Electrical Box Popping (1-10-11) Tuesday, January 11, 2011 Whiting Police and Fire Departments were detailed to 1438 Fred Street to a report of an electrical box popping and sparks flying. Whiting Fire Department reported there was no fire and the landlord of the building was notified. Hammond PD Request Assistance (1-9-11) Tuesday, January 11, 2011 Hammond PD request assistance in the 1800 block of Davis Avenue. Hammond PD handled. Vehicle Vandalism (1-8-11) Tuesday, January 11, 2011 A resident in the 1500 block of Fischrupp Avenue reported that her vehicle was entered and her ignition switch was damaged to her 94 Ford Explorer. The complainant reported that she suspects her ex boyfriend who she is having trouble with. Vehicle Vandalism (1-8-11) Tuesday, January 11, 2011 A resident in the 2000 block of New York Avenue reported that the drivers side front tire on her vehicle was slashed. Home Break In (1-7-11) Tuesday, January 11, 2011 A resident in the 2100 block of Indianapolis Blvd. reported that she left her home on January 6th at approx. Noon and persons unknown entered her home and stole her lap top computer and Sony camera. Officers reported entry was gained through a window. Vehicle Vandalism (1-7-11) Tuesday, January 11, 2011 Officers were detailed to the BP lot number 4 to a report that an employee found the window broken out of his vehicle and the stereo stolen. |
