Clerk-Treasurer's Office
The Clerk-Treasurer's office is one of the most important Departments within the City. All incoming revenues and disbursements for expenditures are processed by the Clerk's Office. The Clerk's office is responsible for preparing and distributing the City payroll, annual budgets, and is the keeper of the City Seal. All records required by law including the minutes of all City meetings, resolutions and ordinances are maintained by the office. The Clerk Treasurer's Department also performs many other duties prescribed by state statue.

BIOGRAPHY:
Mark Adam began his first term as Whiting’s
Clerk-Treasurer in 2008. A lifelong area resident, Mark
holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Purdue
University, West Lafayette. He holds minors in Finance
and Management Information Systems.
Prior to entering public service, Mark performed the
duties of a treasurer for a local financial institution.
He is happily married to Eileen (Stahura), and is a
member of the Chamber of Commerce, the Knights of
Columbus, and has volunteered time serving as an 8th
grade boys basketball coach. Mark is a graduate of Clark
High School and St. John the Baptist Grade School.
