Octoberfest

Schnitzel, Spätzle, brats and beer—Whiting’s Oktoberfest is here!This annual festival, is eleven hours of contests, entertainment, food and shopping with something for all age groups!

Hear the sounds of old Germany from live “Oompah” German bands while you enjoy a brew with your crew in the Bier Garten, stuff yourself full with sausage, brats, cabbage, noodles, schnitzel, and more filling foods! Live music will entertain you all day.

Excite your taste buds at the Chili Cook-Off Tasting Contest (Click for entry form.) Local restaurants and not for profits churches and organizations are invited to compete for the title of Best Chili. Those attending are invited to taste all the chili recipes and vote for their favorite!

And with Oktoberfest already here it is not too soon to shop for the upcoming holidays in all of our shops and at our Arts and Crafts Fair.
