Dark In The Park
The HORROR of it all... can be yours at the annual "Dark in the Park" held at Lakefront Park. There's fun for the whole family, if you're the Addams Family, that is! This haunting event just grows and grows every year like fungus on a rotting corpse. There are rooms of mayhem and terror in the Haunted Pavilion with free horror classic films on the hillside.
The younger crowd can have a "boo"tiful time and "hands on" fun at the Feel & Squeal exhibit or dance with Frankenstein at the "Meet the Monsters" Show. They can also travel the trail of tiny terrors in the "Things That Go Bumpy in the Night" ride and get into the "spirit" of the holiday at the "Silly Séance."
A fortune teller will be on hand to read your palm. There's also a concession stand and an old fashioned Madame Zolda Fortune Telling machine at 25 cents a throw.
"Dark in the Park" is a cooperative venture between the The Whiting Fraternal Order of Police and the Whiting-Robertsdale Chamber of Horrors and Commerce. For more information, call 219-659-0292.
