July 4th Celebration

Whiting's 4th of July celebration is second to none! One of the oldest continuous 4th of July parades is held in our fair city as people gather on Indianapolis Blvd. and down through 119th Street to Whiting Park, our traditional parade route. Bands, floats, civic organizations, clowns and horses are all part of each year's exciting patriotic parade. Fireworks will be held at the Lakefront this year at 10:00 PM on July 3, 2011.
