Mayor's Walk/Run

The Mayor's Walk/Run -This event takes place June 26th and begins at 8 AM rain or shine.  Choose your path! You can walk or run the 5k (3.1 miles) or walk/run the 2k (1.5 miles). The event is open to 9th grade and older and takes place on a course setup throughout the city. This year's event will be held in conjunction with the BP Classic. Runners from BP will join the locals in the race as an event in the BP Classic, a weekend multi-sport competition among BP locations for bragging rights. There will be door prizes and refreshments for all involved. Applications can be obtained from Whiting City Hall by seeing Kathy Kazmierski or Norb Dudzik. Proceeds from the application fee of $15 go to the Whiting Food Pantry & Whiting City Museum.
