The Whiting-Robertsdale Historical Society

The Whiting-Robertsdale Historical Society was organized in 1976 as a U.S. Bicentennial project. Its lovely building at 1610 - 119th Street serves as a museum for the Whiting-Robertsdale communities.

The Society does a great deal of reference work, collecting, cataloging and preserving materials of local historical importance. Reminiscences from local residents are collected on tape and in letter form. The Historical Society is often helpful with genealogy studies as well.

The Historical Society Museum is opened Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 1pm until 4pm. The phone number is 659-1432.

Here is a small portion of the historical photos available at the Historical Society.
