Saturday, March 25, 2006 To assist our customers in answering their questions or addressing their problems, we have launched a new Help - FAQ web page. It is our intention to expand this list with the answers to the Frequently Asked Questions that we commonly receive. I hope this new feature will save you a step or a phone call with your next experience with city government. A new "Help/FAQs - City Employee" page has also been added to provide current information as related to their jobs, benefits and policies. New information page added to web site! Sunday, March 19, 2006 In an attempt to provide easy access to the public, a new "City Information" page has been added to the web site. The page will contain links to many documents, forms, applications, bargaining agreements, plans, studies, and more. In the near future we will also begin experimenting with posting the minutes from various City meetings. Please visit the page and forward us your comments by clicking here - City Information. Good Government Study Released Sunday, March 19, 2006 On March 17, the final report of the Good Government Initiative was released by consulting firm Maximus, who was hired to perform the huge task. The study details ways that cities, schools and libraries can improve the efficiency of their operations. Whiting taxing agencies that voluntarily participated in the study include: The Civil City, Sanitary District, School City and the Library.
