Arrest – Subject Wanted from Illinois (9-29-14)

Off duty Officer Prevatte advised that a subject that is known to be wanted in Illinois is at Beggars Pizza.  Sgt. Allard was detailed and arrested George P Avros of 1708 Atchison Avenue, Whiting, IN as he was walking out of Beggars Pizza.  He was arrested on a warrant out of Will County for Burglary and Home Invasion.  He was transported to the Whiting PD and transported to the Lake County Jail pending extradition to Illinois.
