Possible Scam (7-1-15)

A resident in the 1900 block of Schrage Avenue reported that he had a phone conversation with a subject from the State of Indiana who reported that the State is giving away money for home improvements.  The caller is supposed to be sending out a representative today at 2 pm.  The complainant is concerned that this may be a scam.  The phone number he was given does not accept incoming calls.  The complainant was advised that if someone shows up at his house to call the Whiting PD.  If he received another call, to tell them that the police will be there also during the meeting.
