Subject with Machete Knife (3-30-14)

A male subject called the Whiting PD to report a dark skinned male subject with long dark hair riding a bike and carrying a machete knife.  The caller reported that the subject is in the Ohio Avenue area heading towards the Library.  The caller reported that a female was walking behind him.  Officers located the subject who was from the 1500 block of Indianapolis Blvd.  Officers spoke with the subject who stated that he collects knives and was showing it to one of his friends.  Officers explained the complaint that the Whiting PD received on him and that he needed a better way to show his knives.
