Theft at Family Dollar (7-15-15)

An employee from Family Dollar reported the theft of electronics, batteries, Monster drinks and unknown items. The complainant reported that the subject was a m/w wearing a leather jacket. The subject left the store in a Chevy Blazer with a m/w passenger in the vehicle. The vehicle had Illinois plates that had expired plates on it. The vehicle came back registered to a subject from Calumet City, Illinois. Officers located and stopped the vehicle at the corner of Birch Avenue and Indianapolis Blvd. Officer Delgado and Sgt. Butler requested a warrant check on the driver and suspect. The driver of the vehicle Seth R Springsteen of 3653 Flossmoor Road, Homewood, Illinois came back wanted out of Lake County Sheriff’s Dept. for Conversion and also wanted out of Crown Point, IN on a warrant for Conversion. Sgt. Butler arrested Seth Springsteen for conversion, expired License Plates and Expired Driver’s License. Air One towed the vehicle and the driver and passenger were transported to the WPD. The driver was placed in lock up pending court date and transport to the Lake County Jail and the passenger who was a juvenile was turned over to his sister.
