Finding a Place to Stay
Whiting-Robertsdale
Whiting shares its ZIP Code (46394) with neighboring Robertsdale, the northernmost area of Hammond. As a result, many Hammond homes have Whiting addresses, a fact which frequently causes confusion among new residents.
Before moving to the area, it is recommended that you determine which municipality you are re-locating to, as this has consequences which will affect your family’s schooling, tax rates, municipal services, etc.
Boundaries for the City of Whiting can be found on this map.

To actively address illicit behavior, residents and police officers gather for a monthly Crime Watch meeting, publish the notes of these meetings, and regularly post police activity here on our website. Police Officers patrol our streets 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to ensure our safety.
