Buckley Wall of Fame Dinner

The Buckley Wall of Fame is a dedication to Whiting High School graduates who have overachieved in their accomplishments and successes in their contributions to society in the areas of academics, athletics and civil accomplishments. The Buckley Wall of Fame was established in 2003 by the Whiting Board of School Trustees in honor of James J. Buckley, Whiting High School Class of 1942. Jim spent much of his career as an educator, coach and former board member. He dedicated sixteen years of service to the Whiting school board. Alumni were selected per quarter century: 1900 – 1925; 1926 – 1950; 1951 – 1975; and 1976 – 2000. This is the third year for this inductee program. A dinner reception will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2007, at 6:00 PM at the Whiting Knights of Columbus Hall, 1120-119th Street, Whiting, Indiana to honor the following inductees: Dr. Clementine Frankowski, Peter “Mope” Eli Kovachic, Dr. Peter Stecy, Judge William J. Obermiller, Martin (Marty) Jamrose, Mary C. (Ward) Abegg, and Dr. Gerald Kovacich.
