Celebrate Veterans Day with a Parade November 11, 2022

A Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony will be held in the City of Whiting on Friday, November 11, 2022 at 11am at the Veterans Memorial on 119th Street and Oliver. Speeches will be delivered by the commanders of veteran and service organizations, followed by a 21 Gun Salute and Taps.

Everyone is welcome to join us at Post 80, 2003 Indianapolis Boulevard in Whiting for coffee and doughnuts starting at 9:30am. At approximately 10:50am all in attendance will line up to march to the Veterans Memorial on 119th Street and Oliver with the Post 80 Color Guard leading the parade and musical accompaniment by the Whiting High School Band.

Following the ceremony, Whiting Post 80 will honor veterans with a Spaghetti Dinner from 4pm to 7pm. The Dinner is FREE to all veterans.

We hope you’ll join us for the 2022 Veterans Day Ceremony to honor those who served, in times of war as well as peace.

In the event of inclement weather, the parade will be canceled and Veterans Day Services will be held inside the American Legion Whiting Post #80 at 11am.
