City Approves Use of Golf Carts on Whiting Streets

The City of Whiting Common Council approved an ordinance on August 3, 2021 which allows Golf Carts to be operated on the Streets of Whiting. A Permit is required to operate a Golf Cart on City Streets. Complete details of the rules and regulations for operating a Golf Cart on City Streets can be found HERE. The Application Form for the Permit to operate Golf Carts may be obtained from the Clerk’s Office, from the Whiting Police Department, or by clicking HERE. Golf Cart Inspections are required prior to a Permit being issued and can be arranged by contacting the Whiting Police Department at 219-659-2131.
