Controlled Substances Turn in Program

The Whiting Police Department will be participating in the DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) controlled substances turn in program. The program will start this Friday, February 24, 2012. The WPD will have a locked box in the lobby of the police station. The public will be given an opportunity to bring unused pharmaceutical controlled substances. NO questions will be asked. Example of controlled substances would be xanax, vicodin, hydrocodone, tylenol with codeine, etc. Please do not bring in antibiotics, cough syrups, prescription eye drops or things of that nature.
