EPA Public Meeting regarding Federated Metals

The EPA will be conducting a Public Meeting on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at 6pm in the Nathan Hale Cafeteria located in Whiting High School, 1751 Oliver Street, Whiting, IN. Attendees are asked to please access the meeting using Door 10 from the Parking Lot off New York Avenue.
Additionally, on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, the EPA is planning to offer a Superfund Process Training followed by an Open House at Whiting High School at 6pm.
Finally, on December 5, 6, and 7, 2023, the EPA is preparing to hold interviews with community members for the basis of creating a Community Involvement Plan, or CIP, at the Whiting Public Library located at 1735 Oliver Street in Whiting. A CIP is a site-specific strategy to enable meaningful community involvement throughout the Superfund cleanup process. CIPs specify EPA-planned community involvement activities to address community needs, concerns and expectations that are identified through community interviews and other means.
