Holiday Shop Downtown Whiting | All season long

Experience the Season in Historic Downtown Whiting. Grab your holiday shopping list and spend a day with friends in the City of Whiting’s quaint and cozy downtown business district. Whiting Lakefront Park Holiday Light Spectacular | Saturday, November 25th – Sunday, January 8th | Lit daily at dusk

There’s no better way to Experience the Season in Whiting than taking a joyous drive through Whiting Lakefront Park to view twinkling light displays along the lakefront. The holiday displays and animated units throughout the park will include Santa’s Sleigh, Frosty the Snowman, the North Pole Village and Elves, Gingerbread, and many others. The Light Spectacular will be lit daily at dusk all holiday season beginning November 25th through January 8th.

 City of Whiting 2016 Illuminated Christmas Parade | Friday, December 2nd @ 7:00 p.m.

Experience the Season in Whiting! Kick off your holiday season with the City of Whiting’s Illuminated Christmas Parade on Friday, December 2nd at 7:00 pm. The parade starts on the corner of 119th Street and Davis Avenue, and will travel east down 119th Street to Whiting City Hall. The 2016 Illuminated Christmas Parade will feature Santa’s Reindeer, illuminated and animated floats, bands, and of course jolly old Santa. The City’s tree lighting ceremony will take place after the parade in front of Whiting City Hall.

Small Town Christmas in Downtown Whiting | Saturday, December 10th from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

A holiday family-fun filled day in Downtown Whiting including Live Reindeer in front of City Hall, Photos with Santa at the Chamber from 10-2:30, Breakfast with Mrs. Claus at Winey Beach Café 9-1 p.m., and a Winter Warm up Tour at participating businesses from 10-3 p.m.
