Mayor Announces Plans to Create Whiting Community Center Task Force

In response to the Maximus Good Government Study’s recommendation to sell the Community Center, Mayor Stahura announced plans to create a task force consisting of local business people, residents, and staff members to analyize the operation. “It cost the City nearly $750,000 annually to operate and staff the Community Center”, states the Mayor. “The Good Government Study has identified this as a high cost to do business”.
