NIPSCO Scam

NiSource Corporate Security has been advised that at least 30 customers have been contacted by scammers pretending to be from NIPSCO.  These offenders advise the potential victim that they are behind in their NIPSCO bills and to immediately make payment today of they risk getting their service immediately cut off.  The offender directs victims to go to CVS stores and purchase a prepaid card in large amounts and call them back with the numbers.  NIPSCO doesn’t work this way.  If you get contacted by scammers, please call 911 immediately.
