Public Safety Day

The Whiting Fire and Police Departments will be hosting Public Safety Day on Saturday, September 17, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Mascot Hall of Fame Parking Lot located at 1851 Front Street in Whiting. This is a great event for both kids and adults to learn about the different aspects of Fire and Police safety. A fire truck & ambulance will be on display, get a free blood pressure screening, get an up close view of a Police Helicopter (from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.), get a ride in the fire truck bucket, and spray a fire hose. The Police Department will be holding their annual bike raffle and there will also be free refreshments and handouts. We hope you will join us for a day full of fun and information regarding safety.
