Whiting overall received the highest number of e-mail votes, some 62,000! If you missed Gayle Faulkner Kosalko’s article in the Times she mentioned that their story is that each spring since 1964 “Pirohi King” Father Stephen Dutko leads hundreds of volunteers in the making of thousands of pierogies. The City of Whiting would like to thank everyone who voted for Whiting in this contest. It was wonderful to see all the support given to our fine City!
