Whiting Police Department Asking the Public to be Vigilant of Scams

Whiting Police Department is warning residents to be aware of scams going around the area.  Please DO NOT open your door to anyone you do not know.  They might also contact you by phone.  DO NOT send any form of money (cashier checks, money orders, google pay, gift cards, western union).  DO NOT contact them back with any information of yours.  Please contact the Whiting Police Department at 219-659-2131 or 219-659-2833 if you are asked to send any form of money so they can help you avoid the scam.
